Redland Primary School

We all say we can, and we do

Science

Science is actively taught throughout the school with the emphasis upon ‘hands on’ participation.  The aim is for children to be able to communicate their knowledge and understanding and to develop an awareness of the relationship of science to everyday life. They will investigate materials of various types and explore the changes that occur under certain conditions. Children will experience physical science through their work on electricity, forces, motion, light and sound.
