This year we are working on developing the outdoor environment at the school to make it a more useful space for learning and to enable the children to be more engaged in outdoor activities which support the curriculum. Watch this space for photos and information on how the project is progressing.
UPDATE – 19th February 2018:
We have Outdoor Learning Week planned for 12th – 16th March 2018 where classes will be learning outside for as much of the week as possible. We need to prepare our outdoor learning area for all the different projects and activities and details of the jobs that need doing can be seen below. Weather permitting we are aiming to undertake this work on Saturday 24th February 2018. Please let us know if you can come along and help!

|Smaller trees and bushes removed and turned into wood chippings, reused on site.||Saws, chainsaws, large commercial shredder|
|Moving of old and digging of new vegetable beds.||Keen gardeners or enthusiastic diggers!|
|Installation of decking at one end of the pond, kindly donated by Homebase.||Anyone with any experience of installing decking with their own tools. (We already have decking and screws)|
