Redland Primary School

We all say we can, and we do

Lee Abbey 17.9.19

The children and staff all arrived safely yesterday at the wonderful Lee Abbey. Upon arrival, bags were dropped off, and the group were whisked to Lynton. Here they enjoyed the beautiful coastal scenery on the walk down to Lynmouth where they had lunch. Unfortunately the weather was a bit drizzly but that didn’t stop everyone enjoying the fudge and gift shops!

After exploring Lynmouth, the group boarded the cliff railway to begin the journey back to Lynton- much quicker than walking! Everyone then hiked back to Lee Abbey, enjoying the fresh air and wonderful views.

Last night, chilli was on the menu and it was delicious. Even better, it was followed by ice cream. To wrap up the day, there was a tour around the Lee Abbey grounds and then the rest of the evening was spent in the sports hall doing some team building games. All was quiet as 34 very tired children (and 4 even more tired adults) slept extremely well!

This morning, the children are having a breakfast of scrambled eggs, beans and hash browns. Today’s activities are low ropes, crate stacking, zip wire and the climbing wall.

More news tomorrow.
