Welcome to Term 2
The children have all settled well into school life and are getting used to the new routines.
We had a lovely time in Term One – baking, learning sounds and numbers, counting, welly walks, going to assembly, staying for lunch, PE and lots more!
I hope the children have been sharing all the exciting things we have been doing at school.
Here are a few examples of the things we have been doing…
We are looking forward to Term 2
We will be continuing to learn our phonic sounds and numbers.
The children will enjoy learning about celebrations including birthdays, weddings and christenings and we hope to visit the church. We will also learn about different celebrations around the world.
We hope that the children will enjoy the busy lead up to Christmas where we will be practising for our Christmas sing-a-long, baking, making Christmas decorations and lots of other festive activities.
Please continue to read with your children at least 3 times a week. Don’t forget Family Fun Friday where you are invited to come and stay and play with your child in the classroom until 9.15.
We will also be sending out information regarding a phonics and maths parent’s workshop in Term 3.
Thank you to all the parents who attended our successful curriculum meeting. For those of you who were unable to make the meeting I have attached a copy of the slide show below. If you have any questions please feel free to pop in ask.
Below is a the topic web highlighting all the fun things we are looking forward to doing this term.
