At our school, we are committed to developing and nurturing the whole child. We recognise that every child is unique, and we celebrate the individual strengths, talents and qualities that each pupil brings to our community.
Whilst English and mathematics provide the essential foundations for learning, we believe that academic success is only one part of a child’s development. Our broad, balanced and enriching curriculum is designed to inspire curiosity, spark creativity and foster a lifelong love of learning. Alongside this, we are committed to promoting healthy, active lifestyles and supporting the physical, social and emotional wellbeing of every pupil.
We understand that every child enjoys different types of physical activity, and that traditional team sports do not appeal to everyone. That is why we provide a wide range of sporting and active experiences, including alternative sports and activities, giving all pupils the opportunity to discover something they enjoy. By helping children build confidence, develop new skills and experience the enjoyment of being active, we aim to inspire a lifelong commitment to health and wellbeing.
This commitment extends beyond physical education. Through our Jigsaw PSHE curriculum, OPAL play programme and other wellbeing initiatives, pupils learn about healthy lifestyles, positive relationships and the importance of looking after both their physical and mental health. Together, these experiences help every child to thrive both in and beyond the classroom.
