TERM 1

A very warm welcome to Kingfishers’ Class Page.

We hope you had a lovely summer break!  We are looking forward to the first term of this academic year with our topic ‘Portraits/Making Memories!’  We are also looking forward to the year 6 residential to Lee Abbey!

Information:

  • This term the children will be taught in a whole class setting.  This will change in term 3 with Learning Groups.  More details to follow on this nearer the time.
  • Outdoor Learning will be on a Monday.  Please wear suitable clothes and have a spare set of footwear.  PE will be on Tuesday.  Please can children wear a plain white t-shirt and navy/black shorts.  No football strips please. They may want to bring in leggings/joggers and a sweatshirt as the weather turns cooler.
  • Homework will continue to be set on a Wednesday and be due back in on a Monday.  
  • The children will continue to be given a KIRF target (key instant recall facts) and it will  be tested every other Friday.
  • Children will have a times table target which will be tested every Friday.
  • Children will have weekly spellings which will be tested on a Tuesday. Children’s spellings for this term can be found on the links below.
