TERM 5

A very warm welcome to Kingfishers’ Class Page.

We hope you had an enjoyable and restful Easter break.  We are looking forward to an exciting and busy term 5 as the children continue with their learning groups and we embark on our new topic!

This term, our topic is a design and techology focus, ‘Automata Animals’.  We will be looking at developing our understanding of mechanical systems.

Key information:

  • This term the children will continue to be taught in learning groups. The year 6s will be taught by Ms Hull and Mrs O’Brien and the year 5s by Mrs Joy and Mrs Evans.  Learning groups will be Mon-Weds during the morning.
  • PE will be on Monday and Thursday.  Please can children wear a plain white t-shirt and navy/black shorts.  No football strips please. 
  • Homework will continue to be set on a Wednesday and be due back in on a Monday.  
  • The children will continue to be given a KIRF target (key instant recall facts) and it will  be tested every other Friday.
  • Children will have weekly spellings which will be tested on a Monday. Children’s spellings for this term can be found on the links below.
